Group Counseling Services
Growing Together Through Connection, Practice & Support
At Teen, Tween & Child Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, we offer structured group counseling experiences designed to help participants strengthen emotional awareness, improve communication, develop healthy coping strategies, build confidence, and practice positive social interactions in a supportive environment.
Children and adolescents learn in many ways, but some of life's most important lessons are learned through relationships with others. Group counseling provides a unique opportunity for youth to build skills, receive support, practice new behaviors, and connect with peers who may be facing similar challenges. For many young people, group counseling becomes a powerful reminder that they are not alone in what they are experiencing.
Group Formats
Recognizing that every child, tween, teen, and family has different schedules and support needs, our group counseling services are offered in three flexible formats designed to promote skill development, meaningful connection, and lasting growth.
Intensive 5-Day Groups
Our 5-Day Intensive Groups provide concentrated support and skill-building opportunities over five consecutive days. Each session is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, allowing participants to engage in structured activities, peer interaction, skill practice, and guided discussion while building momentum throughout the week.
5-Week Group Series
Our 5-Week Group Series offers participants the opportunity to learn, reflect, practice, and apply new skills over time. Groups meet once per week for 1 hour and 20 minutes, providing ongoing support while allowing youth to apply what they are learning in their daily lives between sessions.
Saturday Intensive Workshops
Our Saturday Intensive Workshops provide a deeper, immersive experience for youth seeking focused support in a single-day format. These workshops are held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and offer approximately 4 hours of structured programming, including skill development, group discussion, interactive activities, and opportunities for peer connection.
Why Group Counseling Works
Children, tweens, and teens often learn best when they can see, practice, and experience new skills alongside others facing similar challenges.
Group counseling provides opportunities to:
Develop healthy communication skills
Strengthen emotional awareness and regulation
Build confidence and self-esteem
Practice problem-solving and decision-making
Improve peer relationships and social skills
Learn healthy coping strategies
Receive encouragement and support from peers
Recognize they are not alone in their experiences
Many participants discover that hearing another young person share a similar struggle helps reduce feelings of isolation while creating opportunities for growth, understanding, and connection.
Our groups are designed to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where participants can learn practical skills, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen the confidence needed to navigate challenges at home, school, and within their communities.
