Christian School Mental Health Consultation & Training
Supporting Student Wellness. Strengthening School Communities. Equipping Christian Educators.
Christian schools are uniquely positioned to shape the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of children, tweens, and teens. As youth mental health concerns continue to increase across the nation, Christian schools are being called to support students experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral concerns, family stressors, social challenges, and uncertainty about the future.
Teachers, administrators, school counselors, coaches, and ministry leaders are often among the first trusted adults to recognize when a student may be struggling. With the right knowledge, resources, and support, Christian schools can play a vital role in strengthening student well-being, supporting families, and creating healthy school communities.
Why Schools Partner with Us
Christian schools partner with Teen, Tween & Child Counseling & Consulting, PLLC because we understand that every school is unique. While many schools recognize the growing mental health needs of students, not every school has the resources to employ a full-time school counselor, social worker, or mental health professional. Our goal is to help schools build practical, sustainable systems of support that fit their mission, culture, and available resources.
We work alongside school leaders to strengthen student support services, develop mental health strategies, enhance prevention efforts, improve referral pathways, and create plans that help schools respond effectively to the challenges facing today's children, tweens, and teens. Whether your school has an established counseling department or no counseling services at all, we can help identify opportunities to strengthen support for students and families.
For schools with counselors and student support staff, we provide consultation, professional development, and ongoing guidance related to youth mental health, trauma-informed practices, suicide prevention, child protection, crisis response, family engagement, and student wellness initiatives. We understand that school counselors in Christian schools often wear multiple hats and may not always have access to the same resources available in larger school systems.
Jennifer Hobbs brings more than 20 years of experience serving children, families, schools, churches, and communities. Her background includes four years as a school-based mental health counselor within public schools, collaboration with educators and administrators across diverse educational settings, and extensive experience supporting youth mental health, child protection, crisis intervention, and school-based prevention efforts.
What makes our approach unique is our understanding of Christian education. Jennifer attended Christian schools from preschool through twelfth grade and continued both her undergraduate and graduate education through Christian institutions. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Director, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) trained clinician, Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Continuing Education Provider, and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), she understands both the opportunities and challenges Christian schools face as they seek to support students while remaining faithful to their educational mission.
Our goal is not simply to provide a training and leave. We strive to build lasting relationships with schools, equip educators and student support teams with practical tools, strengthen existing systems, and help create environments where students, families, and staff feel supported, connected, and prepared to thrive.
